Designed as part of the ambitious Anderston redevelopment, its sweeping concrete canopies and bold structural forms transformed an ordinary transport interchange into a striking piece of modern architecture. It remains one of the city's most recognisable examples of post-war Brutalist design, proving that even the most practical buildings can leave a lasting impression.

This model was all about capturing elegance in concrete. The long roofline, deep overhangs, and repeating structural rhythm needed to feel balanced at a smaller scale. The station's sweeping concrete canopies and expressive structural forms reflect the confidence of post-war civic architecture while providing practical shelter and circulation for thousands of passengers. Today it remains an important transport hub and a significant surviving piece of Glasgow's modernist heritage.

ALL EU ORDERS processed through our Etsy Store HERE

My concrete models are made to order and individually hand-cast in solid concrete.
