Built for the Whitney Museum of American Art, its inverted ziggurat form, textured concrete façade, and distinctive slit windows made it an instant landmark of modernist architecture in New York. Today it continues its life as a home for art under new stewardship.

This model focuses on its sculptural massing. The stepped form, the gravity of its concrete, and the balance between heaviness and delicacy needed to be preserved.
