Loved by some, challenged by others, it has since been given new life through restoration, standing as one of the largest and most famous Brutalist housing schemes in Europe.

This model captures a fragment of that long façade. The challenge was portraying the delicate bridge links as well as distilling the mix of concrete frame, infill panels, and repeating balconies into a small, balanced cast. It had to feel expansive even at a reduced scale and like a key piece of the whole, with its character intact.

A small cast of a vast vision for urban living.

Features
• Solid cast concrete, individually hand-poured
• 6cm high, 6cm wide, 4.5cm deep (approx)
• Laser-etched cork base with building name
• Comes gift-boxed for the perfect concrete gift
• Designed, modelled, and finished in the UK

Made for those who’ve lived there, walked its decks, or admired it as one of Britain’s most ambitious post-war housing projects.

This model carries a portion of the shape and spirit of Park Hill as a reminder of the era when architecture reached for social transformation.

15% off when you order two or more models

EU customers: please order via my Etsy shop due to customs regulations

Building Information

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK
Architect: Jack Lynn and Ivor Smith (Sheffield City Council Architects Department)
Completed: 1961
Status: Grade II* listed, undergoing phased renovation

Brief Overview:
Park Hill is a vast Brutalist housing estate overlooking Sheffield city centre. Designed around the concept of “streets in the sky,” it was intended to rehouse communities from the city’s slum clearances while preserving social networks.
