Designed by Paul Rudolph, its textured concrete surfaces, complex interior levels, and striking silhouette made it both radical and influential. It remains a touchstone for generations of architects trained within its walls.

This model was about getting the mass and detail in balance. The rugged façades, the layered volumes, and the sharp verticals had to be reduced carefully to hold their strength at a smaller scale.
