Fawley Control Centre

Location: Southampton, England
Architect: Farmer & Dark
Completed: 1965
Status: Closed 2013, to be demolished
Brief Overview: Dubbed 'The Flying Saucer' and looking like something straight off Tracey Island- Fawley Control Centre remained very much unchanged from when it was built in 1965 to when it closed.  Fawley Power Station was closed in 2013, but the Control Centre was still in use to control a number of other power stations across the country until 2016.  Since 2019 the site has been under phased demolition, and  plans have been developed to potentially build around 1.500 on the site.

Our concrete sculptures are individually hand cast in solid concrete. This means that each piece will have distinctive markings and minor blemishes due to air bubbles in the concrete. This is a natural part of the material and will mean that no two pieces are ever exactly the same.
