Top Brutes: The Brutalist Card Game

I made these card decks to share my love of Brutalist architecture in a fun, hands-on way. Each pack features 24 buildings from a single city, scored across six playful categories so you can battle it out Top Trumps-style. The London and Birmingham decks are currently sold out. But new editions and more cities are in the works. Scroll down to explore past editions and sign up to hear when the next one drops.

Top Brute: A Concrete Battle of Buildings

Top Brute is a card game I created to celebrate Brutalist architecture through play. Each deck includes 24 cards, each featuring a different Brutalist building from one city — complete with a photo, brief description, and six scored categories. The cards can be played like the classic Top Trumps game, with buildings battling each other for the top score in categories like Bulk, Texture, Utopia, and Surprise Factor.

The first two editions — Top Brute: London and Top Brute: Birmingham — featured a mix of iconic landmarks and lesser-known gems, from Trellick Tower to Hockley Flyover. Both decks are now sold out, but I’m working on new editions for other cities, and may reprint popular decks in the future.

These packs are part game, part collectible, and part Brutalist archive. They’re designed to make you laugh, learn, and fall in love with concrete — whether you’re an architecture nerd, a student, a designer, or someone who simply enjoys holding a beautiful printed object.
