BRUTALIST SUGGESTION BOX

A concrete relief takes one elevation of a building, a facade, a gable or a staircore, and casts it as a flat panel that hangs on a wall. It is the middle step between a print and a model: more physical than paper, easier to place than a sculpture. These reliefs are cast by hand in Birmingham, and the buildings include Trellick Tower, the Barbican Centre, Preston Bus Station, Birmingham Central Library, New Street Signal Box, Welbeck Street Car Park and Queen Elizabeth Square, three of which no longer stand. They make a strong Brutalist architecture gift for a housewarming, a graduation or a retirement, the keepsake for someone who already has a model. Check each product page for making and posting time.
