The Brutalist Egg Archive

Every spring, I make a batch of Brutalist concrete eggs. Each one with a textured surface that's inspired by a brutalist building I love. It started as a bit of an experiment and a playful idea to bring Brutalism into the hands of people who care. But its now become a tradition I also love, and honestly, one of the highlights of my year.

The Brutalist Egg Hunt is a game I design that tries to reconnect us, with buildings, with the places we live, and with each other. Its a playful hands-on celebration of urban spaces and the joy of looking closer.

These eggs take month to make, but the real work is out there, on the streets. Hunting, following clues, solving puzzles, finding beauty in concrete corners most people walk past.

This is my yearly love letter to brutalism.

And you’re invited.

The Brutalist Egg Archive

Every spring, I design and release a brand new limited edition Brutalist Egg. It's a hand-cast concrete sculpture inspired by the raw textures and sculptural forms of Brutalist buildings. Below is a growing archive of past designs and a place to learn about the annual Brutalist Egg Hunt, where hunters can unlock early access and a few lucky winners can get one for free.

The Brutalist Egg Hunt: A Concrete Spring Ritual

Each year I create a new sculptural egg. It's a Fabergé-style object cast in solid concrete, with a surface texture inspired by a real Brutalist building. Every edition is different, but all are made with the same care: digitally modelled, moulded by hand, and poured in small batches here in the studio. They’re heavy, tactile, and strange little things, designed to feel like miniature monuments.

These eggs are released only once a year as part of the Brutalist Egg Hunt, a city-scale treasure hunt that takes place each spring. Clues are hidden around real Brutalist locations, and players follow them to complete mission tasks. Some eggs are awarded to the fastest players, others to the most observant or creative. One egg is always given away at random, so anyone who completes the hunt has a chance to win.

This page is a record of past editions a concrete archive of what’s come before. If you’d like to take part in the next Brutalist Egg Hunt, join my newsletter to be the first to hear when it launches.
