Brief Overview: New Street Signal Box has kept the regions network moving for decades- originally housing the Westpac Geographical Interlocking & Signalmens push button control panel (the largest relay interlocking in the world when installed) and also the Railway Telephone Exchange. However all operations are due to be moved to state of the art West Midlands Signalling Centre in Saltley, with the Signal Box set for a phased decommissioning.
