Brief Overview: New Street Signal Box has kept the regions network moving for decades- originally housing the Westpac Geographical Interlocking & Signalmens push button control panel (the largest relay interlocking in the world when installed) and also the Railway Telephone Exchange. However all operations have been moved to a state of the art West Midlands Signalling Centre in Saltley, with the Signal Box set for a phased decommissioning.
