Brief Overview:
The Genex Tower, also known as the Western City Gate, is a 35-storey Brutalist skyscraper complex in Belgrade. Its twin towers, linked by a two-storey bridge and topped with a circular observation deck, were designed to symbolise the city’s openness and modernity. Today, it remains one of the most striking and unconventional high-rises in the world.

Genex Tower, Belgrade

If you've driven into Belgrade from the airport, you've passed this. The Genex Tower miniature concrete model captures Mihajlo Mitrović's 1977 Western City Gate. Its two concrete towers are joined high up by a bridge and crowned with a circular revolving restaurant. It's one of the most striking skyscrapers of Yugoslav modernism and a landmark of European Brutalism. This concrete model of the Genex Tower keeps the twin shafts, the bridge and the drum at the top in a single 9cm piece for a desk or shelf. It's made for Belgraders and the Serbian diaspora, fans of Yugoslav architecture and lovers of Brutalist architecture, and it's a powerful gift for someone with Balkan roots. Each one is hand-cast in solid concrete, with real weight.
