All Spaceplay models are made to order and are usually made and posted within 30 days.

All orders are sent using a tracked postal service, and you’ll receive tracking details once your model has been posted.

UK orders usually arrive within 3 working days after posting. International orders usually arrive within 8 working days after posting, although customs and local postal services can sometimes cause delays.

If you need your order for a specific date, please let me know before ordering and I’ll do my best to help.

UK customers can also select Express Shipping at checkout to have their model made and posted within 8 days.

Returns

You can return unused and undamaged items within 30 days of delivery for a refund, excluding return postage costs.

If your model arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please email me within 14 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue. I’ll arrange a free replacement to be made and posted to you.

Brief Overview:
La Pyramide was commissioned during a period of rapid growth in Côte d’Ivoire and was intended as a new kind of mixed-use urban space. Its stepped form, designed to encourage airflow and shade in Abidjan’s tropical climate, reflected both modernist ideals and local environmental awareness. Though it later fell into disrepair, its ongoing restoration reflects its renewed cultural and architectural significance as a symbol of Ivorian modernity.

Making my concrete model

La Pyramide, Abidjan

If you know Abidjan's Plateau district, you know La Pyramide. The La Pyramide miniature concrete model captures Rinaldo Olivieri's 1973 building. Its stepped pyramid form was designed to bring shade and airflow in a tropical climate, modernism shaped by local conditions. After years of decline it's now under restoration, and it has become a symbol of Ivorian modernity and African Brutalism. This concrete model of La Pyramide keeps its terraced, pyramidal profile at 7.5cm, a sculptural piece for a desk, shelf or studio table. It's made for Ivorians and the diaspora, fans of African modernism, architects interested in climate-responsive design and lovers of Brutalist architecture, and it's a meaningful, unusual gift. Each miniature concrete building is hand-cast in solid concrete.
