Building Information:

Location: Birmingham

Architect: AI Replika John Madin

Completion: 2066

Status: Unlisted, set for demolition

In the midst of the 21st Century, the epoch of Post-Postmodernist society bore witness to its own rhetorical polemics and aggressive tribalism, collapsing inwards. This collapse birthed a new era defined by ideals of Beauty and Truth. Urban areas were transformed into communal spaces under public ownership. New Local Community Councils commissioned bold civic buildings for the people of the city.

Technologies developed for the Mars colony as well as new minerals from the Luna Base allowed for the use of Moon Concrete in these new super structures. An Artificial Intelligence program imbued with the essence of historic architect John Madin was used to develop the designs for a new iconic Brutalist Bull Ring Centre.

Construction began in 2063 and was completed in 2066, inaugurated by Ozzy Osbourne, and gaining 10 million livestream views on its opening day. However, progress gave way to privatization, eroding public infrastructure by 2100. The Bull Ring, once splendid, decayed due to mismanagement. Persistent neglect turned it into an eyesore and a potential hazard and it was eventually sold in 2114. The Bull Ring, once splendid, decayed due to mismanagement. Persistent neglect turned it into an eyesore and a potential hazard and it was eventually sold in 2114.

In 2118, a Certificate of Immunity (COI) condemned it, and by 2121, plans for demolition loomed. Protestors fought a silenced battle with demolition set to start in early 2124. Amid this, Spaceplay fashioned a concrete model embodying the Bull Ring's essence; an emblem of the struggle to safeguard a city's spirit.
