Odeon Perry Barr miniature model
Odeon Perry Barr miniature model
Cast 3D model portraying the architectural design of the entrance facade of The Odeon Perry Barr on Birchfield Road.
Location: Birmingham, England
Architect: Stanley A. Griffiths & Horace G. Bradley
Opened: 1930
Brief Overview:
The first cinema to bear the Odeon name, but in the style of a Moorish palace rather than the streamlined modernism which would define the circuit. Locally-born Odeon founder Oscar Deutsch had a flat out the back where he stayed when he worked late. After he died the funeral cortege passed the cinema, and all of the staff came out to pay their respects.
Materials
Materials
Our Wonderland Cinema models are all made using a high purity plaster which gives a good balance between strength and detail casting. However this plaster is a brittle material and our models are delicate and can break with impact.
