Returns

You can return unused and undamaged items within 30 days of delivery for a refund, excluding return postage costs.

If your model arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please email me within 14 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue. I’ll arrange a free replacement to be made and posted to you.

Boston City Hall stands on Government Center Plaza as one of the boldest examples of Brutalist civic architecture in the United States. Its rugged concrete form and dramatic overhangs house the city’s government offices and council chambers. Controversial from the start, it remains a landmark of 20th-century modernism and an emblem of Boston’s architectural identity.

The Boston City Hall miniature concrete model is made for Bostonians, and for anyone who has argued about this building over dinner. Kallmann McKinnell & Knowles' 1968 city hall on Government Center Plaza stacks heavy, overhanging concrete tiers so the council chamber and mayor's office face the street, an attempt to make government visible. It's been voted both ugly and a masterpiece, and it's one of the boldest landmarks of American Brutalism. This concrete model of Boston City Hall captures its top-weighted mass at 8.5cm, a commanding concrete sculpture for a desk or shelf. It's for city workers, architecture students, architects and lovers of Brutalist architecture, and as a Boston gift it restarts that argument. Each miniature concrete building is hand-cast in solid concrete, with real weight and texture.
