Breuer Building, New York

If you've walked up Madison Avenue and looked up at its stepped overhang, this Breuer Building miniature concrete model will feel familiar. Marcel Breuer designed the 1966 building with Hamilton P. Smith, originally for the Whitney Museum of American Art. It steps out over the street in an inverted ziggurat of granite-clad concrete, with trapezoidal windows staring back at the Upper East Side. This concrete model of the Breuer Building captures that top-heavy form at 5.5cm, a small concrete sculpture for a desk, bookshelf or studio table. It's made for New Yorkers, museum-goers, Breuer fans and lovers of American Brutalist architecture, and it's a sophisticated gift for someone who loves art and architecture equally. Pair it with the Pirelli Building model, also by Breuer. Each one is hand-cast in solid concrete.
