Brunel Lecture Theatre, London

Film fans know it from A Clockwork Orange, and Brunel graduates know it from exams. This Brunel Lecture Theatre miniature concrete model is a piece for both. Richard Sheppard, Robson & Partners completed the Lecture Centre in Uxbridge in 1967, and its compact, modular concrete form is a landmark of British Brutalism on a university campus. This concrete model of the Brunel Lecture Centre is 7.5cm across, sized for a desk, shelf or studio table. It's for Brunel alumni and staff, engineers and designers who studied there, Kubrick fans and lovers of Brutalist architecture. As a graduation gift or a gift for an architect, it means more than a framed certificate. Each miniature concrete building is hand-cast in solid concrete, with its own weight and small marks.
