Torres Blancas, Madrid

The Torres Blancas miniature concrete model is made for people drawn to Brutalism's softer, more organic side. Despite its name, Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oiza's 1969 residential building in Madrid is a single tower of raw concrete. Its rounded cylindrical forms and circular terraces bring light, air and planting into every home, and it's considered a masterpiece of Spanish modernism. This concrete model of Torres Blancas captures that clustered, tree-like profile at 8.5cm, a sculptural piece for a desk, shelf, studio or windowsill. It's for Madrileños, lovers of Spanish architecture and fans of European Brutalist architecture, and it's a distinctive gift for an architect who has seen everything. Each one is hand-cast in solid concrete, heavy and slightly different from the last.
